Our Story:

Kaedence began riding in early 2018 after receiving a lesson package from her grandparents. Due to her gymnastics commitments she did not ride consistently but did decide that once her gymnastics competition season was over she wanted to focus more on horseback riding. Hooked is an understatement.

In 2019 we continued her riding lessons and were encouraged to join the competitive team. Unfortunately, due to my cancer diagnosis we were unable to make that commitment. It was around this time that a four year old Ella fell in love with horses and wanted to ride just like her big sister.

2020 arrived with a sigh of relief as I had received news my cancer was in remission. We were ready to get more serious with Kaedence's riding and have her join the academy team.. then COVID. Everything shut down and many shows were cancelled. 2020 was not the year for Kaedence to begin competing but she did have the opportunity to do a small show which allowed her to get a taste for the show ring. Ella was also able to begin riding in the fall of 2020.

2021 was a whole new year. Kaedence began to ride with the Academy team and Ella began to ride with the Tournament team. I was very excited to be a show mom even though I had no clue what I was doing. Kaedence and Ella both showed well but showed impressive improvement and commitment to this sport in the fall. It was then we were approached by the barn to purchase a horse for the girls. Cue in Magpie.

We did not know what we got into with a four year old horse but the girls were head over heels in love with this crazy horse. Kaedence was able to begin riding her in December. It was rough going at first but each ride they got more and more comfortable with each other. There were some falls and things to figure out. Magpie was definitely more of a project than we had anticipated.

During all of the Magpie excitement, Ella really improved her riding and moved up to the Academy team for the 2022 competition year. Both girls have done amazing this show season  and work incredibly hard at each lesson to get better. Magpie is like a completely different horse and has taught Kaedence so much. It has been such a pleasure to watch these girls grow and become so committed to their riding.

This is only the beginning and they are so excited to take you along on their journey making their dreams reality.
